A spring visitor

So we had a little visitor near the poolhouse over the weekend… As guests made their way down the graveled path through the woods to the restaurant for Mother’s Day brunch, I walked up the road to the inn and noticed him hanging out on the stone wall.

Any chipmunk experts? What’s this little guy up to? Mating ritual? Happy spring dance?

    Our chippies do the same. I’ve always assumed that they are disturbed by our presence, but that’s just a guess. I’m in no way a chippy expert.
